Awards and Recognition

KALFA's four award categories are Excellence in Civic Involvement, Leadership, Client Lifetime Achievement and Outstanding Caregiver, the first of which is awarded to a property, and the other three of which are presented to individuals. Judging is conducted by outside organizations, such as advocacy groups, business associations and leadership consortiums.

Award recipients are recognized at KALFA's Awards Celebration Luncheon and at local presentations. In addition, the Awards Workgroup provides additional recognition through KALFA's website and newsletter articles. Several other unique forms of recognition are provided for specific award categories, such as the type of plaque or award display that is presented.
