2008 Food Service Training Retreat Registration Form
KALFA offers diverse educational training opportunities for all disciplines, including our annual conference, Resident Services Director Training Retreat, Food Service Training Retreat, Marketing & Sales Summit, Personal Care Home Workshop, Activity Workshop and additional freestanding seminars. The KALFA Education Action Team relies on constant feedback from members and leaders to offer pertinent and timely topics. In addition, we work closely with state agencies and other organizations to address information that they feel is relevant to KALFA members.
Newsletters
KALFA is also pleased to publish our monthly e-newsletter, The KALFA Advisor, that highlights state and national activities of interest. KALFA welcomes suggestions for articles and interviews, and also appreciates the chance to provide information to other organizations for their publications.

KALFA’s Providing Choice Consumer Publication
Assisted living communities are required under KRS 194A.715 to make available to any interested person a consumer publication approved by the Kentucky Department for Aging and Independent Living. One of the many benefits of KALFA membership is that your price to purchase Providing Choice is the same as the association’s actual cost to print, package and ship it.
Providing Choice is an excellent publication to share with prospective assisted living clients, church groups, civic organizations, senior citizen groups, elected leaders, etc. The questions & answers, checklist, important contacts and actual text of state requirements will help readers make informed decisions about assisted living communities in Kentucky.
